If Google Penguin only values natural links, it is tempting to think that the best way to do link building is to do nothing.
Just sit back and wait for links to generate naturally and spontaneously… or not at all.
But let's be honest: any SEO who tells them not to do anything to get links will laugh.
As long as this remains a key factor in bulk data determining the relevance of a website, strategies will need to be developed that are capable of generating a coherent link profile.
To generate these links we have two possibilities:
Generate the links ourselves (either by purchasing them or placing them on other pages) so that they appear as “natural” as possible.
Trigger the generation of natural links with inbound marketing strategies such as Linkbaiting.
With the first option you will be constantly taking a risk.
Because no matter how well you do it, how well your PBN is configured or how much care you take in how and where you buy the links, the truth is that you are entering fully into black hat SEO and you are deceiving Google.
Sooner or later, that ends up being paid for.
Therefore, I do not recommend that you generate this type of links if you are not very sure of what you are doing and, above all, never with a project that gives you money.
By definition: Linkbuilding is generating links and this is anything but natural.
However, generating natural links through valuable content that is well-targeted for our users is always a safe bet.
At the end of the day, we are working towards the same goal as Google: meeting user expectations.
